Doral provides twice-weekly garbage collection and once-weekly yard waste and bulk item pickup for single-family residences through its contracted hauler. Garbage must be in sealed bags inside city-approved rolling carts. Multi-family and commercial properties arrange service through private haulers.
The City of Doral provides residential solid waste collection through a contracted franchise hauler. Single-family homes receive twice-weekly garbage collection and once-weekly yard waste and bulk item pickup. Residents are issued city-approved rolling carts for garbage and recycling. Garbage must be securely bagged and placed inside the rolling cart with the lid closed. Yard waste must be cut to 4-foot lengths and bundled, with individual bundles not exceeding 50 pounds. Loose yard debris should be placed in bags or containers not exceeding 35 gallons. Construction and demolition debris is not accepted through regular collection and requires a private hauler. Hazardous waste including paints, chemicals, batteries, and electronics must be taken to Miami-Dade County collection centers. Multi-family properties with 8 or more units contract directly with waste haulers. Contact the Public Works Department at (305) 593-6740 for collection schedules and service issues.
Placing garbage outside the rolling cart, failing to bag waste, or placing carts out on non-collection days is a code violation. Placing hazardous materials or construction debris in regular collection results in citations. Overflowing carts may be left uncollected. Violations are handled by Code Enforcement at (305) 593-6740.
