Yorba Linda, CA Parking Rules: Preferential Parking Districts (2026)

Section 10.28.080 names the affected roadway segments directly: Via del Parque, Via Bernardo, Via Cota, the posted portion of Los Monteros between Paseo De Toronto and 5350 Los Monteros, and all of Las Patranas Street. Parking on those streets is prohibited except by residents of the street itself. Qualifying residents obtain a parking permit from the Director of Public Works by showing sufficient proof of residency. The section caps issuance at two permanent decal permits per family per residence, requires the permanent decal to be affixed to the inside left portion of the rear window, and separately allows up to three guest parking permits per residence, which must be hung from the vehicle's rear-view mirror in plain view of enforcement personnel rather than affixed to the window.

Subsection C lets the City Manager adopt administrative and enforcement procedures that do not conflict with the ordinance, and subsection D makes clear the restriction is not enforceable on any of the five streets until the City has actually posted the required signs and curb markings giving notice of the permit requirement. This is Yorba Linda's only codified resident-only parking program; it is not a citywide permit district scheme but a fixed list of named streets adopted by ordinance in 1988 through 1991.
