Yorba Linda, CA Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Yorba Linda Municipal Code Section 10.28.010 makes the chapter's stopping, standing and parking prohibitions apply at all times or during the hours specified in a particular section, with a narrow exception when a driver must stop to avoid a collision or must comply with a police officer's or traffic-control device's direction. Section 10.28.020 gives the City Traffic Engineer authority to designate no-stopping zones, no-parking areas and restricted parking areas either by posted signs or by paint applied directly to the curb surface. Once a curb marking or sign is in place and legible, no vehicle operator may stop, stand or park adjacent to it in violation of the posted restriction.

The chapter goes on to set specific curb-color time limits (green curb 24-minute zones, and separately marked 40-minute, one-hour and two-hour zones between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on non-Sunday, non-holiday days), plus separate prohibitions on parking within divisional islands, near crosswalks, within 20 feet of a stop sign or signal, and on narrow streets under 20 to 30 feet wide. Because the restrictions attach to physical curb paint or posted signage rather than a blanket citywide rule, the exact limit on any given block depends on what the City Traffic Engineer has actually installed there under Section 10.28.020.
