Outside Charlottesville and Scottsville, Albemarle County's zoning ordinance names food truck sales as an allowed function of "Squares," a defined type of civic open space required in the Rio29 Form-Based Code Overlay District along the U.S. 29/Rio Road corridor, rather than authorizing mobile food vending countywide.
