Solicitor Permits

Anyone who goes door to door in Albemarle County outside Charlottesville and Scottsville to sell goods or take orders must register with the Albemarle County Police Chief and obtain a permit before entering any residential premises. Peddlers and solicitors submit personal details, pay a $10.00 fee, and carry the county-issued permit at all times while soliciting.
